On 11 Oct 16, a dispute in the Aley district town of Sofar left three people wounded. A dispute erupted inside a restaurant owned by K. Khanash, and soon escalated into a fight. Sharp tools and sticks were reportedly employed by the participants. The armed struggle involved members of the Sayegh family and Lebanese nationals F.S. and D.S. The latter two were injured, along with one member from the Sayegh family, who was transferred to the hospital. He sustained a broken hand and head injuries. Security forces rushed to the scene and opened an investigation into the incident.
