Human trafficking and prostitution ring busted in south Lebanon
Authorities have busted a prostitution and human trafficking ring in southern Lebanon.
Seven people involved in the ring, based in Kfarjoz near Nabatieh, were arrested.
Three Syrian nationals were arrested, one identified as Hafez S., born in 1985, was detained on suspicions of “facilitating prostitution” and human trafficking.
The second Syrian national, Amira A., was arrested on suspicions of prostitution and illegal entry into Lebanon through the services of Hafez S.
Iftekar, another Syrian national, was detained because her registration papers had expired.
Four Lebanese nationals were also arrested, one suspect identified as Ali T. was detained on suspicions of having paid Hafez S. to have sex with Amira A.
Lebanese national Dima N. D., born in 1972, was arrested on suspicions of prostitution, facilitating prostitution and human trafficking. Lebanese national Hussein was arrested in Dima’s house.
Lebanese national Samah J., born in 1977, was also detained on suspicion of prostitution.
