President of the General Labor Confederation Bechara Asmar praised employees of Rafik Hariri University Hospital Friday for their civility on the third consecutive day of an open-ended protest, the state-run National News Agency reported. The protest has been ongoing at the hospital on the outskirts of southern Beirut, with employees demanding the administration consider their work rights and conditions. Employees are seeking the implementation of a decision taken by the Cabinet on Feb. 19, 2015, which states that four demands should be met, including the application of the grade pay scale, 13th-month pay, and a commitment to terms agreed upon with former Health Minister Wael Abu Faour.
