The whereabouts of a shooter suspected of killing a Hezbollah member in Baalbeck at night remain unknown, a security source told The Daily Star.

An unidentified shooter reportedly fired around 10 bullets at a Hezbollah member in front of his home in the Baalbek town of Tel Abyad, the source said.

Local media reports named the victim as Rabia Yassin.

Several other bullets left Yassin’s wife “seriously” wounded, the security source said.

Both husband and wife were in their car arriving home at the time of the shooting. An MTV broadcast from Saturday evening showed at least one bullet hole in an outer wall of the couple’s home.

Yassin’s wife was in “stable condition” at a nearby hospital Sunday, the source added.
