The head of the Internal Security Forces’ Human Trafficking and Moral Protection Bureau was arrested Tuesday for links to a prostitution ring, a security source told The Daily Star.

Col. Johnny Haddad was arrested early this week after being monitored for a long period of time, the security source said. A second source familiar with the issue confirmed Haddad’s arrest, while stating it was on charges of bribery.

The source added that Haddad’s arrest came as part of a wider strategy in the Internal Security Forces against corruption in its ranks.
