Gunshots rang out from the Ain al-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp in Sidon Tuesday, injuring two people in what residents said was a personal dispute.
The exchange of fire originated from a spat between camp resident Malek al-Haj and his son Wael al-Haj on one side, and resident Taan Salameh on the other, according to social media posts published online by relatives of the father and son.
All three of the residents involved in the dispute reportedly belong to the Fatah Movement.
Two camp residents were injured in the shootout and transported to a nearby hospital, the state-run National News Agency later reported, without providing details on the severity of their injuries.
Fatah leadership quickly contained the dispute, sources said.
