Two masked gunmen stormed the Lebanese Swiss Bank in Bir Hasan, stealing $17,000 before making off on a motorcycle.
A circulated video showed the robbers firing at the ceiling, while panicked customers took cover on the floor.
Investigations are looking into security footage from CCTV cameras in the neighborhood - near the Kuwaiti Embassy - and tracking the yellow getaway vehicle, a security source told The Daily Star.
The video appears to be filmed from inside the bank - one of LSB's 20 branches in the country.
