On 23 Nov 16, a woman was driving in her car when a group of armed men stopped her after they had blocked access to a highway in the town of Beino. They then told her to get out of the car and handover her money. After the robbery, the woman fled to a nearby area. She then collapsed and was admitted to the Akkar Hospital for treatment. Following the incident, residents of Beino urged Lebanon’s security forces to intervene to prevent such robberies.
