Three armed gunmen wearing masks and dark glasses robbed a branch of Bank Audi in Bhamdoun in the latest incident in a string of bank heists in recent months, a security source told The Daily Star. Two of the masked men entered the bank and stole an as yet undisclosed amount of money while the third suspect stood watch outside. One of the gunmen fired two shots from a pump-action shotgun as a warning in the bank, before his partner instructed the employees to gather money and hand it over to them. The suspects escaped the scene in a navy blue Hyundai i10, heading toward Beirut. Investigators are currently trying to apprehend the suspects and establish how much was stolen.
