Gunmen brielfy kidnap two EDL drivers in Bekaa Valley

Gunmen briefly kidnapped two Electricite Du Liban drivers and stole equipment in the trucks they were driving in the Bekaa Valley, the National News Agency said.

The trucks contained electricity poles, the report said, adding that the drivers were snatched in the Bekaa town of Brital.

Other local media said the abduction was a personal dispute between the drivers and the gunmen.

Hours later, the trucks and the drivers were released on condition that they return to Zahle and not cross into Baalbek.
