NNA - The General Security Directorate issued on Friday the following statement: 
"In the framework of monitoring the activities of terrorist groups and sleeper cells, the General Security Directorate arrested, as per the signal of the competent prosecutor, a Syrian linked to terrorist groups. 
After long interrogation, he admitted to having contacts with terrorist groups in Arsal mountains, and said he was active in the field of securing logistical and financial support to those groups' advantage. 
After thorough investigation, the arrestee referred to the competent court, and work is underway to arrest other involved persons.
