NNA - The General Security Directorate General issued on Wednesday the following statement: 

"In the framework of monitoring the activities of terrorist groups and sleeper cells' operations, the General Directorate of General Security arrested, as per the signal of the competent public prosecutor, a Syrian linked to terrorist entities.
After thorough interrogation, the arrestee admitted to having communicated with terrorist groups and provided weapons, ammunition and money for terrorists, and having participated in smuggling operations from Lebanon into the Syrian territory.
The arrestee was consequently referred to the competent court, and work is underway to arrest the rest of the people involved."
