NNA - The General Security Directorate issued on Friday the following statement:

"In the framework of following up on activities of terrorist groups and affiliated sleeper cells, and after careful monitoring, the General Security Directorate arrested upon the notice of the competent prosecution a Syrian belonging to a terrorist organization.

After thorough investigation, the arrestee admitted belonging to Daesh and revealed his activity in arms and ammunition trading for the benefit of the said organization. He also admitted that he in the process of illegally moving to Syria, in coordination with two other Syrians who also belonged to the same terrorist group."

After the investigations, arrestees were referred to the competent court.
