General Security members arrested the candidate running for Baalbek Hermel parliamentary seat Sheikh Abbas Al-Jawhari, NNA correspondent said on Thursday.
In details, General Security arrested Sheikh Al-Jawhari after finding out when he was applying for a passport at the GS headquarters in Beirut that an arrest warrant in absentia had been issued against him earlier on drug charges.
The detained Sheikh was referred to the General Prosecution in Mount Lebanon for investigations.
