The General Security arrested a Lebanese national with initials A.Sh on charges of belonging to a terrorist organization, according to a communiqué issued by the General Security Directorate Department.
The suspect admitted allegiance to the Nusra Front and that he had undergone military training under the supervision of extremist Osama Mansour. He also confessed that he had communicated online with members of ISIS in Egypt as well as inducing hatred against the Lebanese army on social media.
The detained person was handed over to the concerned judiciary.
