General Security arrested a Syrian national in Arsal on suspicions of illegal arms trading and involvement with terrorist organizations.

The Syrian national, identified as Kh.S.A., reportedly admitted to being guilty of the accusations during investigations and said he had begun his illicit activities in 2014, when he founded an arms smuggling network to bring military equipment into Lebanon.

He allegedly picked up the weaponry near Wadi Hmayyed from a group known as "Arrabi Idris," before transporting it to the northeastern town of Arsal to be sold to terrorist organizations embedded in the outskirts, via arms dealers.
