General Security apprehends Syrian over terror links

The press office of the Lebanese General Security Directorate announced in a statement the arrest of Syrian national (A.F.H), born in 1994, over affiliation and communication with a terrorist organization.
According to the statement, the detainee admitted during an interrogation the accusations addressed against him. The detainee was preparing to carry out a terrorist attack with an explosive belt, against a bus belonging to the Lebanese army.
Following the investigation, the detainee was brought before the competent authorities. Meanwhile, the General Security continues its investigations to arrest other people involved in the case.
