General security apprehends Syrian for links with terrorist organizations

In the framework of follow-up on activities of terrorist groups and their affiliated dormant cells, General Security arrested upon a notice by the General Prosecutor, a Syrian national for conducting contacts with terrorist organizations, General Security Directorate General said in a statement on Thursday.

The detained person confessed during investigations his activity in the field of arms and ammunition's trafficking for the benefit of terrorist groups, whereby he secured for them equipment and electronic devices used in the field of monitoring and observation.

After the end of investigations, the arrested person was referred to the concerned court, and work is currently underway to arrest the remaining persons who are involved in this activity.
