Free Patriotic Movement supporters paraded through the streets in a convoy north of Beirut Wednesday ahead the party's protest planned for later this week. FPM supporters gathered in their cars outside of the party's headquarters in the northern Beirut suburb of Bauchrieh Wednesday afternoon to launch a convoy in preparation for their planned protest in Martyrs' Square, Downtown Beirut, Friday at 5:30 p.m. Downtown Beirut has been the site of frequent protests over the past few weeks organized by You Stink, a grassroots group that sprouted from Lebanon's garbage crisis. The group has been calling for the resignation of Environment Minister Mohammad Machnouk over the crisis. FPM chief Michel Aoun has said that his party generally supports the You Stink movement, but has invited it to take part in Friday's protest.
