Four people were arrested in connection with a woman’s murder. The partially burned body of a Palestinian woman - identified as 66-year-old Ahlam Balli - was found in her house in southern Beirut's Burj al-Barajneh area on Sept. 17.

Following an investigation, the ISF information branch arrested a couple for her murder. They are identified as A.Aa., and his wife, M.M, both 30 years old from Syria.

During questioning, the wife confessed to killing the woman, saying it was because Balli had borrowed $7,000 from the couple and was unable to pay them back. Her husband then tried to burn the victim to get rid of evidence.

Two other Syrian nationals were arrested in connection with the crime as they were trying to leave Lebanon. They were in possession of the victim’s phone and purse and confessed to knowing about the crime.
This security incident was mapped according to the closest possible location.
