Firefighters doused Saturday a huge fire that erupted at a residential building in Beirut and ten people have been hospitalized for smoke inhalation and sustaining burn injuries. Fire trucks and ambulances rushed to Beirut's Basta neighborhood to evacuate residents, an official at Beirut Fire Department told The Daily Star. The blaze had already spread to the first three floors of the seven-storey building and an evacuation operation was conducted using ladders.
