Today, a high-ranking Fatah official has been gunned down by unidentified gunmen in Ain el-Helweh refugee camp where he reportedly died of his wounds at a local hospital NNA reporters said. The killing of the Palestinian official nicknamed "Talal the Jordanian" and his bodyguard triggered off a wave of violence between mainstream Fatah and 'Usbat al-Ansar or League of Islamist fundamentalist group with echoes of heavy firing reverberating throughout Saida, NNA reporters concluded.
