The families of the abducted Lebanese soldiers, held hostage by islamists of the al-Nosra Front and the Islamic State since the beginning of August, have burnt tires on Riad el-Solh square in the center of Beirut on Monday to call for the liberation of the soldiers.
On Monday, the Islamic State reiterated its threats of beheading 7 Lebanese soldiers if the Lebanese authorities did not cancel the condemnation of 5 islamists held in Roumieh, according to several local media.
The brother of the held soldier Ibrahim Mougheit told the LBCI that on Monday morning, the Islamic State had reiterated its threats in phone calls to the families. "They are giving us two hours to cancel the condemnation of 5 islamists from Fateh el-Islam. Otherwise, a video of beheadings will be diffused", said the brother of one of the thirty soldiers abducted at the beginning of August in Ersal.

The families of the Lebanese military men held hostage by the islamists from al-Nosra front and the Islamic State decided on Monday to block "all the roads in Beirut", as part of a strategy to obtain the immediate liberation of their relatives.
"Many roads will be cut, we will not tell you which ones, but the escalation is starting right now until the Lebanese State cancels the charges against the islamists", declared a relative of the hostages.
