An argument between Ayman al-Iraqi and Mahmoud Abu Rakai escalated into shooting inside the Palestinian camp, near the southern city of Sidon. The two men shot at each other across the Al-Fawaqani street with their personal weapons. One man who was passing by the area was injured as a result of the gunfire.
Fatah quickly moved to de-escalate tensions while emphasizing that it was an individual quarrel and that the two had a long-standing dispute.
