The Lebanese Army apprehended on Wednesday several suspects who fired weapons during a wedding celebration that wounded one person in the northern village of Ehden, a security source told The Daily Star. The source said that an Army unit raided several houses in Ehden at dawn after the public prosecutor issued arrest warrants against people suspected of using machine guns to fire into the air around midnight Tuesday.
The gunfire wounded a doctor of Belgian origin who was having dinner at a nearby restaurant. A stray bullet hit her in the back, the source said.
