A brawl erupted Thursday between striking Electricite du Liban contract workers and a bakery owner near EDL headquarters in Beirut leaving several men bruised, security sources said. The sources told The Daily Star the fight, with fists and sticks, broke out after the owner of a shop that sells mankoushe told strikers to protest away from his shop because they were disrupting his business. Police quickly intervened to end the scuffle. EDL contract workers have been holding near-daily protests outside of a company service provider, NEU-Debbas, near EDL headquarters in Mar Mikhael, to demand the payment of their suspended salaries for September. http://www.dailystar.com.lb/News/Lebanon-News/2014/Oct-30/275887-edl-wor...
