East Lebanon residents protested against harsh electricity cuts, state media reported.

A number of locals in Hermel in the Bekaa Valley briefly blocked the street in the town in front of the Hermel Serail, the center of the district’s government offices, to demand more hours of electricity, the National News Agency said.

The residents ended their sit-in after district officials and Baalbeck MP Nawwar Sahili promised to follow up on their demands.
