علنت المديرية العامة لقوى الأمن الداخلي في بيان أنه "بتاريخ 14/7/2018 ونتيجة الاستقصاءات والتحريات المكثفة، وفي اطار ملاحقة المروجين، اوقفت دورية من مكتب مكافحة المخدرات المركزي بمؤزارة دورية من المجموعة الخاصة، بجرم ترويج المخدرات في بلدة قرنايل المدعو: س. ج. ( مواليد عام 1988، لبناني) من أصحاب السوابق.
بتفتيش منزله تم ضبط: 321 غ. قائم من حشيشة الكيف. 27 غ. قائم من مادة الكوكايين، موضبة داخل 19 ظرفاً ومعدّة للترويج. رمانة يدوية دفاعية صالحة للاستعمال. بندقية بومب اكشن مع ممشط و 18 طلقة"، مشيرة الى أن "التحقيق جار بإشراف القضاء المختص".
