On 19 Feb 16, at 1030hrs, Palestinians from camps across Lebanon gathered in front of the European Union in Beirut. The demonstrators lifted banners criticizing the cuts made by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency as smothering the Palestinians and urged the EU to press UNRWA to back down on its decision. The protest was accompanied by heavy security deployment.
