On 22 Feb 15, dairy farmers blocked Rayaq highway to protest the recent closure of dairy factories in the area and the low demand for milk products. The farmers raised banners and poured milk on to the road to protest the inability to sell their products. The farmers also called on the agriculture and health ministries to fulfill promises it had made to protect the dairy farmers.
