On 11 July 17, the Customs Department at Beirut airport seized a safe, which contained thousands of Captagon pills. Around 240 thousand Captagon pills and powder, of a currently unknown substance, were seized inside a safe at Beirut International Airport. The shipment was most likely heading to Bangladesh. Customs Director General Badri Daher oversaw the operation.
