Lebanese Customs chief Badri Daher gave details of a Captagon bust in which 3.7 million pills were confiscated in a media conference Monday.
The Captagon pills – synthetic amphetamines often mixed with caffeine – were found hidden inside crates of oranges Wednesday, according to the state-run National News agency.
The crates had arrived from Syria at the Arida border crossing in the northern Akkar district, Daher said.
