توافرت معلومات لشعبة المعلومات في قوى الامن الداخلي، عن قيام زوجين بترويج عملة مزيفة في قضاء عاليه، بتاريخ 25/05/2017 وفي محلتي عاليه وعيتات، ونتيجة للتحريات والاستقصاءات المكثفة، تمكنت دورية من الشعبة المذكورة من توقيفهما، وهما:

و.د. (مواليد عام 1978، لبناني) وزوجته س. أ. (مواليد عام 1977)، وضبط بحوزتها 300 دولار اميركي مزيفة، وبتفتيش منزلهما تم ضبط مبلغ 28400 دولار اميركي مزيفة (من فئة 100 دولار)، وكمية من الاحجار الكريمة والصبغة الحمراء التي تستعمل لصناعة الزئبق الاحمر المزور.

سلما مع المضبوطات الى مكتب مكافحة الجرائم المالية وتبييض الاموال في وحدة الشرطة القضائية للتوسع بالتحقيق معهما بناء لإشارة القضاء المختص".
