A corpse was found lying beside a charred motorcycle near the Khaldeh Highway, south of Beirut Saturday.

A security source told The Daily Star that the motorcyclist suffered from a medical condition that rendered him unconscious while riding.

The motorcycle consequently flipped and caught fire.

The blaze burnt the unidentified victim’s torso. The death, however, was deemed to be the result of smoke inhalation rather than from burn wounds.
