Clashes took place between young men from al-Omari and the al-Masri clans in Akkar, state-run National News Agency reported.

The dispute turned into armed clashes taking place on the main road connecting the northern towns of Bibnine and Birqayel.

Three were wounded, two of which are in critical condition.

A fourth person who was a passerby was also wounded.

Internal Security Forces are investigating the incident.
