A clash between young men from Al-Mehrez and Al-Ghemrawi families resulted in heavy exchange of fire in the area of Beddawi on Sunday, causing several material damages and cutting-off Tripoli-Minieh-Akkar main highway leading to the Lebanese-Syrian borders, NNA field correspondent in the North reported.
As a result, Lebanese Army soldiers intervened immediately and began tracking down the perpetrators. It is to note that a number of Al-Mehrez young men attempted to open fire at Beddawi Municipality Head, Hasan Ghemrawi's car on Saturday night, NNA correspondent added.
