UNIFIL
A group of civilians blocked a road in the area of Majdal Zoun in southern Lebanon and attacked a UNIFIL patrol Saturday, inflicting damage to the forces' vehicles and equipment, the state-run National News Agency reported.
The Lebanese Army, in cooperation with UNIFIL, launched an investigation into the incident, while the motives of the attackers remained unclear.
The UNIFIL patrol did not incur any injuries and safely returned to the base, the report said.
