On 07 Aug 16, in Baalbeck, Civil Defense volunteers staged a sit-in demanding that they be turned into full-time civil servants. The sit-in lasted around ten minutes. The protestors vowed that the volunteers would continue their protests until the implementation of the decree granting them civil servant status, which was taken five months ago.
