صباح تاريخ 13/12/2016 تعرض بنك سوسيتية جنرال في محلة كفرشيما لعملية سطو مسلح من قبل مسلحين مجهولين قاموا بسرقة مبلغ مالي قدر ب 50 الف دولار اميركي وفروا الى جهة مجهولة.

على الفور باشرت شعبة المعلومات في قوى الامن الداخلي الرصد والاستعلام، وتم اعطاء الموضوع الاهمية القصوى لما تشكله عمليات السطو المسلح من ارتدادت سلبية على جميع الصعد.

بنتيجة المتابعة الفورية تم التمكن من تحديد هوية كل الاشخاص المشاركين في عملية سلب بنك الاعتماد اللبناني وبوشر بالبحث والتحري عن اماكن تواجدهم.

-ليل تاريخ 14/12/2016 وفي محلة يونين - قضاء بعلبك، رصدت قوة من شعبة المعلومات احد المشاركين(أ.ع مواليد 1987، لبناني) فتم نصب كمين محكم للمذكور وتم توقيفه
