On 26 Dec 16, a Lebanese Army serviceman was shot dead in east Lebanon. Members of Jaafar clan reportedly killed Agent A. Qaq in the Bekaa Valley town of Ablah. Qaq, a Lebanese Army Intelligence recruit, had been accused of killing a member of the Jaafar clan two months ago. Celebratory gunfire could be heard after the shooting in the Sharawneh neighborhood of the nearby city of Baalbeck, where many of the Jaafar clan live.
