The victim, identified as Lebanese national Aa.N., born in 1955, told the ISF he had been in his car in the Wadi al-Zaynieh area near Rmeileh when a person pointed a pistol at him, entered his car and forced him to drive to nearby Barja. There, the suspect forced the victim to enter a house where another person was present. They subsequently beat him, then stole his phone, an amount of money and the car, the agency said.

The suspect reportedly confessed to committing the crime along with the partner, who was identified as Syrian national B.Aa., born in 1995.

The stolen car was retrieved from Bshamoun in Aley.
