NNA - Upon the initiative of the Committee of the Families of the Missing and the abducted, "Commemorative Campaign 40" has been launched at Tayyouneh Circle with a number of NGO representatives and community activists partaking.
Speaking in the name of the families of the missing, Widad Halawani demanded during a press conference full government recognition of the abducted and the Missing reiterating that a law to this effect must be abruptly drafted. Halawani drew attention to thousands of Syrians and Iraqis who suffer now the same fate visited on their Lebanese brethren 40 years ago.
