The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division, declared Thursday that ISF members dismantled a booby-trapped vehicle in the Arsal town of Rasa al-Sarj, which was loaded with 35 kilograms of explosive materials.
In the details, the directorate released a statement whereby it said that “on Wednesday 20-05-2015, members of the ISF positioned in Arsal found a suspicious white “Fiat” vehicle parked next to the Rawda Mosque, at a distance of 100 meters away from the Lebanese army checkpoint in the town of Ras al-Sarj in Arsal.”
The statement added that the security forces summoned the Judicial Police expert who inspected the vehicle, which was found to be loaded with explosives.
Accordingly, the ISF members cordoned off the area and dismantled the bomb that weighed 35 kilograms.
