Syrian-launched bomb shells explosions were heard Saturday evening in the border town of Ammar al-Bikat, NNA correspondent in Akkar reported.

Meanwhile, Abboudieh-Menjez Highway remained exposed to shelling from the Syrian side while a state of alert prevailed along in various border towns.

One citizen was injured Saturday while he was driving his truck along Menjez-Abboudieh Highway as a result of shelling from the Syrian side, and was rushed to a medical center in Halba for treatment.
