The body of a dead infant was found in a waste container southeast of Beirut, the National News Agency reported.
The body of the baby, who was assumed to be less than a year old, was found in a plastic bag in a garbage container in Filmon Wehbe street in the Kfarshima area, NNA said.
Members of the municipality of Kfarshima and security forces arrived at the scene and detected the body.
No further details were provided.
Investigations were opened into the incident.
