The body of a child was found near Jounieh Bay Tuesday, a security source told The Daily Star. “The corpse fit the description of a child, Mahdi Salameh, who went missing while swimming at a Sidon beach two days earlier,” the source said, adding that the swimsuit on the body matched the description of the attire of the missing child. The family of Mahdi Salameh told The Daily Star that they received a call from the Civil Defense and the Internal Security Forces urging them to head to Jounieh to identify the body.
