On 11 Jan 15, Internal Security Forces announced the arrest of two thieves who impersonated security forces to rob foreign maids of their money and possessions. A 35-year-old man was arrested in Beirut Wednesday along with a 25-year old accomplice after several reports emerged concerning robberies carried out by two men driving a rented navy blue Kia Picanto. In a statement, the ISF said it arrested the perpetrators who allegedly confessed to posing as security forces and robbing maids. During the arrest, policemen seized a motorcycle, a knife, a dagger and brass knuckles.
