On 16 Apr 15, a protest over a salary delay at the Vehicle Inspection station in Hadath, east of Beirut, caused a huge traffic jam. The road leading to the center was choked with long queues of vehicles waiting to reach the station’s 36 inspection lanes. The protesters resumed work at 10:00 am after receiving a promise of payment by the facility’s director.
