On 02 Dec 16, four suspects have been detained over their involvement in a drug smuggling operation through Beirut's port, the Finance Ministry announced. A ministry statement said that port inspectors found 300 kilograms of hashish in a container heading to Egypt. The Anti-Drug Bureau detained the Customs agent handling the container's documents and the truck driver at the scene.
