Police arrested a 37-year-old man suspected of sexually abusing and blackmailing a young boy, the ISF said in a statement.

The statement added that the boy’s mother had noticed her son was exhibiting unusual behavior and that some jewelry was missing. The boy then told his mother that he was being sexually preyed upon by the suspect, H.H., in the shop he owned in Mreijeh.

The suspect extorted $14,000 worth of jewelry from the boy by threatening to circulate a video of the sexual abuse on social media. Police raided the suspect’s shop and arrested him after the boy’s mother filed a complaint.
